Wrestler-turned-actor John Cena and his wife Shay Shariatzadeh tied the knot for the second time in Vancouver on Friday. The happy couple originally exchanged vows on October 12, 2020, at a lawyer’s office in Tampa, Florida. After a postponement due to the pandemic delaying their plans, they were finally able to walk down the aisle.
John Cena and Shay were seen heading to the venue with the WWE wrestler in a navy suit and the bride in a white backless dress. In addition to Canada being where Shay grew up, it’s also where her boyfriends met. They were first romantically linked when they were spotted at a dinner party in Vancouver in March 2019, where John was filming Playing With Fire.
A year before they were married, John told Entertainment Tonight: “What’s really special about this (movie) is that no matter what projects I get involved with in the future, this one will always have a special meaning because I got to shoot a special project. and meet someone special.” In a whirlwind romance, the couple married in a private ceremony in Tampa, Florida, the following year.
Earlier this year, the Suicide Squad star opened up to Drew Barrymore about whether or not she wants kids.
