There are some really good wrestling tattoos that catch everyone’s attention, and then there are some bad ones that even the wrestlers probably regret having. Then there’s Hulk Hogan, who has a tattoo on his arm which is often misunderstood by fans. It’s a simple letter-based tattoo that, because of its font, creates a whole new meaning.

Hulk Hogan is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer who anyone who has ever watched wrestling knows about. The Hulkster has made some blunders in his career and has even botched his segments that were unintentionally funny, but this tattoo left a permanent scar on his body. Here’s what it’s about.

Hulk Hogan Was The Face Of WWE For Many Years

  • Hulk Hogan is 70 years old
  • Hulk Hogan wrestled his final match in 2012 during a TNA house show
  • Hulk Hogan is a six-time WWE Champion

There’s hardly anything new to talk about with Hulk Hogan’s wrestling career. He was at the top of the mountain for so long that everyone already knows about his feats and accomplishments. Hulk Hogan Got A Bible Phrase Tattooed On His Arm

“I Am That I Am” Was What Hulk Hogan Got Inked On Him

Hulk Hogan has multiple inks on his body, and most of them aren’t good. Consider the “Immortal” (in all caps) on the upper part of his back. Nothing inherently wrong about it; it was one of Hogan’s nicknames that he used to call himself — The Immortal Hulk. But the tattoo itself? It was just yet another basic tattoo that didn’t distinguish itself from so many others, and on top of that, it wasn’t even pleasing to the eyes.

But that isn’t even the worst one he has on his body. On his right arm, The Hulkster has the phrase “I am that I am” tattooed in cursive. It’s a Bible verse from Exodus 3:14, where God spoke to Moses and said “I am that I am,” when asked about His name.

Many people have quotes from the Bible tattooed on their bodies, and it’s nothing new or odd. So what’s the issue with Hulk Hogan’s tattoo? In tattooing, especially when you get letters tattooed, the choice of font really matters, as does the artist’s experience. At first glance, many fans read Hogan’s tattoo as “Jam that Jam.”

WrestleTalk Even Named A Championship After “Jam That Jam”

The phrase “Jam that Jam” was adopted by WrestleTalk a few years back, and they even introduced their Jam That Jampionship, which is a real title, and Oli Davis became the inaugural champion in September 2020. From the latest available info on the web, it seems Dan Layton is the current reigning Jam that Jampionship Champion.

Hogan also got some other tattoos on his body; he had the name of his ex-wife “Linda” tattooed on his finger, which he started covering up by wearing the WWE Hall of Fame ring. It’s not known whether Hogan has gotten the tattoo removed now, but during an interview given to The Bubba Army in 2021, The Hulkster still hadn’t covered it up. He also had the word “Awareness” tattooed on his forearm.

Hogan has been long retired from wrestling now, and he just goes back and forth when talking about coming out of retirement for one match, but most fans already know that his body just can’t perform in the ring due to the numerous surgeries he has had.
