Lila Moss is following in her mother’s footsteps as a model, as she recently starred in a new Calvin Klein campaign after Kate Moss launched her career with the brand in iconic photos in 1992. Lila took to her Instagram and shared photos of her new collab fashionable as she showed off her abs in a sheer T-shirt over a crop top that looked a lot like one of Kate’s photos with the designer where she was only wearing a black bra.
Kate first modeled for Calvin Klein 30 years ago as part of a deal that helped make her a household name with topless shots of her wearing baggy jeans becoming extremely well-known. In her shot, Lila looked amazing as she flaunted her toned physique in the cheeky shirt that was paired with low-waisted black jeans. In another campaign photo, she wore a black crop top that she paired with distressed jeans that had Calvin Klein briefs visible above her waist.
Lila took to Instagram to share the news of her new partnership with the brand, saying, “So grateful to be a part of @alasdairmclellan’s new @calvinklein campaign.” Calvin Klein is clearly proud that the new ambassador comments “he brought out the best” in Lila’s post. The campaign was captured by British photographer Alasdair McLellan and also features Black Pink’s Jennie, Chloë Sevigny and Susan Sarandon. Kate reflected on her iconic Calvin Klein shoot during an interview with Vogue earlier this week.
She said, ‘Fabien (Baron) said you should go meet Calvin. So I went to the office and he booked me for this CK Jeans campaign. “I wanted to put myself under contract and that was a big thing, being a model and having a contract. So funny, because Paul Cavaco said, ‘Kate, take it, you’re so short you’re never going to work that much anyway.’ Kate Moss was a muse during Calvin Klein’s long time posing for the brand in 1992 and again for the brand’s Obsession perfume campaign in 1993.
