Katy Perry Addresses Her Viral Eye Failure Moment

Katy Perry recently addressed viral spasm moments by insisting her eyes are fine. For the inexperienced, the singer was performing during her residency at Play Las Vegas when her eye began to noticeably twitch as she took a moment to pause during her show. As the star posed in her dress made of soda cans and soda pills, her left eye began to close on its own, prompting the singer to try to fix it while her right eye continued to blink.

In a video of the moment, which was captured by a Perry fan page, the singer manages to keep her cool as she tells excited concertgoers, “Make even more noise for my band.” Days later, Perry jokes about the incident while using the moment to promote more upcoming Play shows at Resorts World Theater in 2023. On social media, Perry shared the viral clip, writing about it: “POV: when you see the new 2023 PLAY dates.”

Katy then explained in the caption, “Welcome all my #flatearthers #spaceisfakers #birdsarentrealers #skyisntblurs to come see my broken doll eyed party trick IRL in Vegas next year!” While telling fans what to expect, the Grammy-nominated artist continued, “The show’s set list is a fun throwback to 2008, a time when we weren’t all frozen by paranoia of our own. echo. cameras!”

Added Perry: “This show is a non-stop party about finding unconditional love and weirdly (for me) there’s nothing political about it, heck I pour beer out of my boobs (that’s a party trick too… actually!) I don’t drink lactate, silly hops! ) I hope to sing with you in 2023! And we will drink, this one is on my own, because we are all #chainedtothegorithm #themarealproblem hahaha.” With 14 shows, the 2023 residency begins on February 15 and ends on April 15. Perry first began her residency in December 2021.
