As Shah Rukh Khan’s spy thriller starring Pathaan shows no signs of slowing down and remains strong at the box office, his production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) has already begun work on his plan to take this “universe of spies”. with immediate effect.
Now, according to the latest report from Peeping Moon, YRF has started working on pre-production on Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 and if all goes according to plan, the film will be released at the end of this year. “Pathaan started the character crossover from previous spies and was directly related to War. Salman’s Diwali release Tiger 3 will continue the crossover, with SRK’s character making an extended cameo. And then there will be Hrithik’s War 2, which will be a massive crossover of the previous five spy movies,” a source told Peeping Moon. Although until now there has been no official confirmation from the creators about the project. But we’re all excited to see him once again reprising the role of suave secret agent Kabir.
War, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, was released in 2019 and turned out to be a huge box office success. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the spy thriller grossed Rs. 320 crores at the box office.
Meanwhile, Hrithik will next be seen in the aerial action thriller ‘Fighter’, where he will share a screen spot with Deepika Padukone for the first time. Siddharth Anand’s directorial is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 25, 2024.
