Jane the virgin was a romantic comedy released in 2014, created by Jennie Snyder Urman, the show follows the story of a 23-year-old virgin Latina girl who is artificially inseminated by her doctor. Soon after its release, the series became a fan favorite and continued for five seasons, the series ended in 2019. Let’s see what the cast is up to today.
1. Gina Rodriguez
Gina played the character of Jane on the series and fans fell in love with her. After the series ended in 2019, she was given many projects including Deepwater Horizon, Ferdinand, Annihilation, Miss Bala, Something Great, and Scoob. She also voiced herself as the titular character of the Netflix action-adventure animated series Carmen Sandiego.
Since the show’s debut on Disney+ in 2020, Rodriguez has served as an executive producer on Diary of a Future President. She has also appeared in brief cameos as Elena, the main character, as an adult.
2. Justin Baldoni
Justin Baldoni, better known as Rafael Solano, was one of the best characters in the series. After he finished the show, Justin transitioned his career from acting to directing and producing. He directed Five Feet Apart, a hit comedy-drama film, and co-founded Wayfarer Studios in 2019 with Ahmed Musoil. He’s also set to direct Colleen Hoover’s It Ends with Us. He got married in 2013 and has two children.
3.Brett Dier
Brett played the character of Jane’s boyfriend, Michael, who was trying to solve his girlfriend’s mysterious pregnancy. After the show ended in 2019, he went on to work on many projects, including Fresh, New Romantic, After Yang, About My Father, and History of them.
4. Andrea Navedo
Andrea played the character of Jane’s mother Xiomara, she has been keeping busy since the show ended in 2019, her acting credits include Remember Me, Bright, Washington Heights, The Royal and Smile or Hug.
5. Yael Grobglas
Yael played the character of Rafael’s ex-wife and was one of the most hated characters on the show. She is a great actress and some of her movies include The Selection, Hanukkah on Rye, Jeruzalem, An Interview with God and The Rage.
